Robert Bond becomes DPN’s first Board Adviser
Data Protection Network Associates appoints Robert Bond as first Board Advisor
DPN Associates are delighted to announce the appointment of Robert Bond as its first Board Advisor. He will be supporting us in the development of our continuing mission to deliver accessible advice and content to the data protection and privacy community.
Robert is a Solicitor and Notary Public and a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional. He is a legal expert and author in the fields of data protection, information security and cyber risks, e-commerce, computer games and technology and has specialised in data protection & information security law since 1983. His publications include Practical Commercial Precedents (Chapter W) and Negotiating Software Contracts.
Robert said: “I’m thrilled to be joining DPN as their Board Advisor. I’m a long-term supporter of DPN’s aims to provide the data protection and privacy community with free guidance and no-nonsense advice”
Robert has been associated with the Data Protection Network since its inception in 2014 and has featured regularly as the lively chair of our webinars.
As Chair of our Governance Board, Robert has provided input into the development of our published works including our recent Privacy Pulse Survey and our Data Retention Guidance. He has also supported our consultation responses to ICO and DCMS.
